The surgery main phone lines are closed between 12.30pm-1.30pm (the surgery remains open and accessible). If you need the contact surgery about an urgent medical problem during this hour you can call our emergency line on 01924 793989. The practice is open during these hours if you wish to attend in person.
Between 6.00pm-6.30pm, this practice is covered by Local Care Direct which is staffed by local GPs and nurses. They can provide urgent medical care or advice when the practice is closed. To access this service please call the usual surgery number and follow the instructions on the recorded message.
Non-urgent advice: Extended Access & Out of Hours
Pre-bookable and on-the-day appointments are available between 6.30pm and 9.30pm each weekday, with additional slots available on Saturdays from 9am and 4pm and Sundays 9am and 1pm.
Evening and weekend appointments will be available for any patient registered with a GP in North Kirklees. The appointments will be available in Dewsbury Health Centre (at Calder View practice on the ground floor).
When the surgery is closed (including weekends & Bank Holidays), for emergency problems there will always be a doctor available. Just ring NHS111 by dialling 111 from your telephone. This is a free call.
